This citrus has the appearance of a large lemon. It tastes similar to Citrus kawachiensis and is very juicy. This citrus is a unique fruit that has long been cultivated on Yuge Island in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan. The unique citrus can be found on many islands in the Seto Inland Sea, including Yuge Island. This dates back 4 million years. These islands were home to the most powerful pirates in Japan at that time. The pirates traveled throughout Asia and brought back many citrus seeds from that region. The fact is that these seeds bore fruit and gave birth to the unique citrus fruits of today’s Japan.
