The Russell River lime or large leaf Australian wild lime, scientifically known as Citrus inodora or Microcitrus inodora, is indigenous to the Bellenden-Ker Range in Northern Queensland, Australia. This tree thrives in lowland tropical rainforests, but due to habitat clearance for agriculture, it has become increasingly scarce. As of now, the fruit has seen no commercial exploitation. Citrus inodora grows as a shrub up to 4 meters (13 feet) tall, bearing egg-shaped, yellowish-green fruits. Unlike other citrus varieties, both its leaves and flowers are mostly odorless, lacking the typical aromatic oils of the citrus family.
