Shadow Queen is a potato variety developed in Hokkaido in 2006.

It was created by improving the Kiramurasaki.

It contains high levels of polyphenols called anthocyanins, and is a brightly colored potato with blackish purple skin and reddish purple flesh.

It tastes like a regular potato, but the texture is somewhat similar to a sweet potato.
